Snickerdoodles

This recipe belongs to a lady who is like a second mom to me, her name is Terri.  Terri makes the best snickerdoodles I have ever tasted; always has always will. So cinnamony, soft and delicious! Last week she made us a batch and we were ever so happy!

Terri’s Snickerdoodles

1 cup butter
1 ½ cup sugar (plus 3 Tbsp for rolling in)
2 eggs
2 ¾ cup flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
3 tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400. Mix thoroughly butter, sugar, and eggs. In a separate bowl stir
together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients into butter
mixture. Roll dough into balls the size of small walnuts. Mix together the 3 Tbsp of
sugar and 3 tsp cinnamon. Roll each dough ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place
each ball 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Cookies should be lightly brown but still soft.
